COSPRA Communicator of the Year
As the most prestigious and enduring award of COSPRA, the Communicator of the Year Award recognizes the public relations best practices of people and organizations whose work supports Colorado public education. Click here for the full description and application.
Eligibility: COSPRA members may nominate an individual or organization. Nominees are not required to be COSPRA members.
Award: The Communicator of the Year receives a plaque and recognition at the COSPRA's Spring meeting in 2012. A press release announcing the award recipient of the COSPRA Communicator of the Year Award will be sent to local media.
Deadline: Submit application on or before Thursday, February 2, 2012. Award winner will be notified early February 2012 and recognized at the CoSPRA Spring meeting in 2012.
Professional Development Scholarship
The Professional Development Scholarship recognizes a COSPRA member who demonstrates a strong commitment to continually improve his/her skills to benefit his/her organization and the public education community. Click here for the full description and application.
Eligibility: A current COSPRA member who regularly attends regional meetings conferences and workshops. Demonstrates a desire to hone his/her strategic communication skills as they relate to their organization and the school public relations profession.
Award: The award recipient will receive one registration to the 2012 NSPRA Conference in Chicago, Illinois on July 8-11 (Valued at $675). By accepting this award, the recipient understands he or she is responsible for any incidental costs necessary to attend the conference and agrees to pay such costs.
Deadline: Submit application on or before Thursday, February 2, 2012. Award winner will be notified early February 2012 and recognized at the CoSPRA Spring meeting in 2012.
Accreditation (APR) Candidate Scholarship
The Accreditation (APR) Candidate Scholarship recognizes a COSPRA member who demonstrates a strong commitment to continually improve his or her knowledge, skills and abilities in public relations to benefit the organization he/she works for, other COSPRA members and the greater public education community. Eligibility: Any current COSPRA member who has at least five years or more experience in public relations or related field.
Award: The scholarship recipient will receive $275 toward the application fee for Accreditation. The difference between the application fee ($385) and the scholarship is $110. The first 20 NSPRA Members each year who take the APR exam under NSPRA are eligible for a $110 rebate upon earning their APR. The scholarship recipient will be reimbursed $275 upon presentation to COSPRA’s immediate past-president of his/her application acceptance letter from the Universal Accreditation Board. The scholarship recipient’s application acceptance letter must be presented by March 31, 2012.
